TASK: World Map

DEFINED TASK: Students will make a construction paper map of the world.

Our social studies class has just been invaded by aliens from another planet. They are extremely interested in our planet Earth and want to know if there are any other places they can visit besides North America. You tell them there are six other continents they can visit and (being the nice student that you are) you decide to make a world map for them to use for the remainder of their trip. The directions for your map are as follows:
                            1. Cut out the shape of your map from blue paper using the tracer                                 provided.
                            2. Label each of the seven continents on the hand-out and cut                                     them apart.
                            3. Glue each continent in the correct location on your map.
                            4. Label the four oceans.
                            5. Use a dotted line to draw in the equator.
